So, as I have talked extensively about in this blog, my plan has always been to start up a coffee shop. As you probably know a while ago I left my job in London to look into this, gain some experience and most importantly work out whether this was what I wanted to do with my life!

Well, after 6 months, 2 jobs in coffee shops, and a lot of soul searching, I came to the gut-wrenching decision that actually starting a coffee shop was not for me. I loved the idea of it – and could really see myself setting up and being the proud owner of Peaberry’s – but I just can’t see myself working in one, which is kind of important. So what now.

I have a few irons in the fire so to speak. I am currently back in London doing some consultancy for an agency (working on a cruise company of all things). Pretty much a financial decision, but also good to be back using my noggin and getting a refresher on all the marketing I used to do. I am now looking at setting up a little something in the marketing arena with. I am also looking to continue with the coffee training and see if I cant run some courses for the coffee owners of Godalming. On top of this I want to keep on improving my pastry and cooking, and my coffee of course.

So exciting times ahead – a major change in direction for sure, but am hoping that we can get some great new opportunities from it, keep on meeting great and interesting people and getting loads more inspiration for this blog.

Now enough of this – on to the way more important things – like food and coffee!
